What Duel actually is
A cryptocurrency casino and sportsbook running on an Anjouan licence, founded by Ossi Ketola — better known as Monarch — who spent nine years building the Counter-Strike skin gambling platform CSGOEmpire before moving on to this.
There is no fiat cashier. You deposit crypto or you do not deposit, which is the single biggest barrier to entry and the reason there is no KYC on standard play. It also means no chargebacks: transfers are final in both directions.
The product argument is the absence of bonuses. The bonus argument, in one calculation
Two casinos, both advertising hard. One shouts about a five-hundred-dollar welcome package; the other mentions nothing at all. Most people can tell you which sounds better and almost nobody can tell you which is cheaper — and those are different questions with frequently opposite answers.
The reason is that a rewards programme is funded out of the operator's own margin. Nobody is subsidising you. A casino paying out generously has to be charging more per bet to afford it, which means the generosity and the cost are the same number viewed from opposite ends.

Zero edge, and why it needs a ceiling
Duel's in-house games carry a 100% RTP badge in the lobby, and the two we have been able to measure ourselves come out at 99.90% and roughly 99.2% — better than anything else on the market by a wide margin, and slightly under the badge. Both pages show the arithmetic rather than glossing over the gap.
What is genuinely unusual is that zero-edge games exist here at all, and the reason they come with limits is mathematical rather than commercial. Strip the edge out of a game and the operator's expectation becomes exactly zero — which sounds safe and is the opposite. A result with no drift is a random walk, and a random walk wanders arbitrarily far in either direction given enough steps. One of those directions is insolvency.
A bigger bankroll buys time, not safety. Duel says as much itself: even with a nine-figure bankroll, taking unlimited zero-edge action would eventually bust it. What one percent does over a career
The mistake is reading RTP as a share of your deposit. It is a share of everything you ever stake, and a bankroll gets staked over and over inside one session — which is how a figure that sounds like a rounding error ends up deciding the outcome.
We put 200,000 simulated players through it at each level. The results split sharply: at 99% almost nobody finishes ahead once the volume is real, at 99.9% a large minority do, and at a true 100% it settles at half and stays there no matter how long anyone plays.
